After Nepal, Afghanistan witnessed three back to back massive earthquakes today, within 30 minutes. The biggest earthquake was of 6.2 magnitude.
New Delhi: Days after Nepal shuddered with the massive tremors due to an earthquake, whose aftereffects were also felt in several parts of India, not one but three earthquakes have been felt in another Indian neighbouring country, Afghanistan. Three powerful earthquakes have been felt in the western part of Afghanistan, in the last 30 minutes, according to the National Centre for Seismology. The epicentre of the earthquakes have been identified as 40 Kms northwest of the city of Herat and the three earthquakes have been felt between 12:11 PM to 12:42 PM.
Three Earthquakes In Afghanistan In 30 Minutes
As mentioned earlier, three earthquakes have been felt in Afghanistan in the last 30 minutes today. An earthquake of 6.1 magnitude as felt at 12:11 PM, 5.6 magnitude at 12:19 PM and a 6.2 magnitude earthquake was experienced at 12:42 PM. Till now, there have been no reports of damage to properties or loss of life/injuries.

Earthquake That Shook Nepal, Aftershocks Felt In India
A massive earthquake struck the National Capital Region (Delhi NCR) on Tuesday at 2:50 PM and tremors were felt across different part of the national capital. According to initial assessments by National Center for Seismology the depth of the earthquake is 5 km and magnitude is 6.2. “Earthquake of Magnitude:6.2, Occurred on 03-10-2023, 14:51:04 IST, Lat: 29.39 & Long: 81.23, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Nepal”, the National Center for Seismology posted on X.
Before that, on Sunday, a mild tremor shook parts of Haryana. According to the National Centre for Seismology the earthquake of magnitude 2.6, occurred at 11.26 pm on Sunday.
