Five people were killed and three others seriously injured when a speeding dumper truck rammed an auto-rickshaw they were riding aboard in Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.
Uttar Pradesh Accident: In a tragic incident, a speeding dumper truck rammed an overloaded auto-rickshaw in Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, leaving five people dead and three others with critical injuries.
According to the police, the the accident occured on Tuesday morning when an auto-rickshaw collided with a dumper coming from the opposite direction at breakneck speed, killing five people aboard the three-wheeler on the spot and leaving three others grievously injured.
Visuals on the gnarly road crash showed the mangled remains of the auto-rickshaw which was completely crushed due to the impact of the collision.

Other clips from the accident site showed the mutilated bodies of the victims being removed from site as police officials investigate the crash.
Local media reports said victims were on their way to Chitrakoot town when the accident took place at the National Highway-35 (NH-35) near the Samrat Dhaba in Amanpur area.
The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital where their condition is stated to be critical, a senior police officer said.
“The incident took place near Jhansi Mirzapur National Highway. A speeding dumper collided with an auto-rickshaw, leaving 5 persons, who were travelling in the three-wheeler, dead on the spot. The condition of another three injured people is said to be critical,” Additional SP Chakrapani Tripathi told news agency ANI.
The officer said the injured have been referred to a hospital in Prayagraj for treatment, while the mortal remains of the five victims are currently in the mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
The deceased have been identified as Anirudh (30), Atar Singh (50) and Akhilesh Singh (22) from Kannauj district and Dharmendra Soni (30) and Nidhi Soni (19) from Hamirpur district, police said.
