Air Force Day commemorates the formal integration of the Indian Air Force (IAF) into the nation’s armed forces, a milestone achieved on October 8, 1932. Annually, this occasion is celebrated in the company of the Indian Air Force’s chief and senior officers. In 1932, the Air Force was initially established as the auxiliary force of the United Kingdom’s Royal Air Force, and the inaugural operational squadron was established in 1933.
