Lucknow: BSP Leader and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati, has demanded stringent judicial action in the Budaun double murder case, in which a man killed two children. The BSP chief further declared that politics should not be involved in the situation. She further added that the terrible murder of two brothers in Badaun is an extremely sad and strongly condemned tragedy. Strict judicial action against the offenders is required to prevent politics from getting in the way of law and order, especially during election season.

Mayawati condemned the heinous crime and urged authorities to expedite the investigation. She emphasized the importance of swift justice for the victims and their families. Mayawati called upon the Uttar Pradesh government to ensure that those responsible for the crime are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.

“The incident of the brutal murder of two brothers in Badaun is very sad and highly condemnable. Strict legal action is necessary against the culprits so that the law and order environment does not deteriorate, especially during election time, nor does politics take place behind it,” she said on X.

As per the reports of reports of ANI, two kids in Baba Colony in Badaun were brutally stabbed to death on Tuesday. Subsequently, Sajid, one of the suspected individuals involved in the incident, lost his life in an encounter with the police. An eyewitness to the incident and the sibling of the two dead children who is still alive has stated that two individuals entered the house and brought his brothers out onto the terrace. The accused attempted to assault him, but he pushed him off and ran.

In his complaint, the father of the murdered children listed Sajid’s brother Javed as the primary accused, which led to the filing of a First Information Report (FIR).

‘According to the FIR, the victim’s father mentioned his wife’s pregnancy in his complaint, claiming that the accused had visited his home to demand money.

“He stated he was nervous and was going for a walk on the terrace when the children’s mother went inside to get money. One of the kids went with him. By the time my wife came back with money, guy was holding a knife. Sajid informed Vinod’s wife that he had finished his duties for the day.

The brutal nature of the crime has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting calls for immediate action to prevent such incidents from recurring. Mayawati’s demand for strict legal action reflects the growing concern over the safety and security of women and girls in the state.
