The ruling BJP sweeped the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, winning 62 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh while the main opposition party, Congress could only manage a single seat.
Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha Election 2024: Parliamentary elections in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases, spanning nearly two months, from Phase 1 on April 19 to Phase 7 on June 1, 2024. Uttar Pradesh has a whopping 80 Lok Sabha seats, the highest in the country, thus sending the most number of MPs to the Lower House of the Parliament and ensuring victory for any party which manages to conquer this vast state.
